Full rules for VanVerdant locations

These rules apply to all locations within the VanVerdant network.

Each VanVerdant location is situated on private property that has authorized the temporary stay of travelers under the conditions defined by the network.

Access to the location implies acceptance of these rules.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in interruption of the stay and exclusion from the network.

1 — Principle of VanVerdant locations

VanVerdant locations are spots situated on private, agricultural, natural, or professional properties allowing the temporary stay of travelers.

The VanVerdant network offers locations that are:

  • natural
  • quiet
  • discreet
  • equipped only with light installations necessary for reception, safety, or signage

VanVerdant locations are not campgrounds, nor public parking areas, but private authorized spots within the network.

The stay must remain:

  • temporary
  • autonomous
  • respectful
  • discreet
  • compliant with local regulations

The traveler accepts that the place may be part of an active farm or property.

2 — Access reserved for authorized travelers

Access to a VanVerdant location is allowed only to travelers with:

  • a valid reservation
    or
  • a valid authorization

made through the VanVerdant network.

Access without using the VanVerdant network is not allowed.

The traveler must respect:

  • the assigned spot
  • the authorized duration
  • access instructions
  • rules displayed on site
  • instructions given by the host

If a chain, gate, or barrier is present, it must be closed after passage.

Access to the location means that the traveler acknowledges having read the rules displayed on site.

3 — Use of the location

Each VanVerdant spot corresponds to a specific place validated by the network.

One spot is intended for:

  • one self-contained habitable vehicle

Several travelers may stay only if:

  • several spots are reserved
  • the place allows it
  • local regulations allow it

The stay must not turn the place into:

  • a campground
  • a gathering
  • a collective installation
  • an event

VanVerdant reserves the right to refuse or interrupt a stay in case of non-compliance.

VanVerdant may limit the number of vehicles allowed if required by the conditions of the place.

4 — Allowed and forbidden installations

Allowed:

  • awning attached to the vehicle
  • portable table or chair
  • light equipment
  • onboard kitchen
  • autonomous equipment

Forbidden:

  • independent tent
  • permanent installation
  • construction
  • modification of the ground
  • fixed installation
  • alteration of the place

The traveler must leave the place as it was found.

5 — Fire, cooking and fire safety

Fires are forbidden on VanVerdant locations.

Forbidden:

  • ground fire
  • wood barbecue
  • charcoal barbecue
  • brazier
  • campfire

Cooking equipment integrated in the vehicle or portable stoves may be used under the traveler’s responsibility.

The traveler must respect:

  • municipal orders
  • prefectural orders
  • temporary bans
  • fire safety rules

If local restrictions apply, no flame is allowed.

The traveler must also respect restrictions related to fire risk, drought, or temporary orders.

Neither the host nor VanVerdant can be held responsible in case of non-compliance.

6 — Respect of the property and the activity

The location is private property.

It is forbidden to:

  • enter crops
  • enter buildings
  • move equipment
  • disturb the activity
  • drive outside authorized areas
  • leave waste

The traveler must respect:

  • the host
  • the neighbors
  • the installations
  • displayed instructions

The traveler accepts the natural characteristics of the place and the normal risks related to a private or agricultural property.

7 — Animals, devices and risks related to the place

Animals may be present on the property or nearby.

Devices may be installed:

  • electric fences
  • barriers
  • agricultural equipment
  • restricted areas

The host may display specific safety instructions.

The traveler must adapt to the place.

VanVerdant cannot be held responsible for risks related to the nature of the terrain or the activity.

8 — Traveler responsibility

The traveler is responsible for:

  • their vehicle
  • their belongings
  • their safety
  • accompanying persons
  • guests
  • animals

The traveler must respect:

  • the rules of the place
  • local regulations
  • applicable orders
  • displayed instructions
  • host instructions
  • VanVerdant rules

The traveler must check the safety of the place before installation.

VanVerdant cannot be held responsible for accidents related to:

  • the ground
  • weather conditions
  • the activity
  • non-compliance with the rules

VanVerdant locations are not developed campgrounds and may contain natural irregularities.

9 — Hygiene and autonomy

VanVerdant locations are intended for autonomous vehicles.

Forbidden:

  • emptying tanks on site
  • leaving waste
  • polluting the ground
  • using the place as a service area

All waste must be taken away.

10 — Calm and disturbances

The place must remain quiet.

Forbidden:

  • gatherings
  • parties
  • loud music
  • noise disturbance
  • inappropriate behavior

Respect for neighbors and the activity is mandatory.

11 — Non-compliance with the rules

Failure to comply may result in:

  • refusal of access
  • interruption of the stay
  • exclusion from the network
  • report to the platform
  • report to authorities if necessary

The spot may be closed immediately in case of rule violation.

12 — Spot identification and contact

Each spot has:

  • a reference
  • a name
  • a municipality
  • GPS coordinates
